Terms & Conditions

General terms for using the website and requesting or confirming a Himalera journey.

Section 01

Scope of These Terms

These terms apply to use of this website and to inquiries or booking requests submitted to Himalera Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd.

A trip becomes confirmed only when Himalera issues written confirmation. The confirmed itinerary, price, inclusions, payment schedule, and any trip-specific cancellation terms form part of the agreement and take priority over general website content.

Section 02

Booking Requests and Prices

Submitting an inquiry or booking form does not by itself confirm availability and does not take payment. Himalera reviews the requested trek, date, party size, and services before sending confirmation or payment instructions.

Website prices are displayed in USD unless stated otherwise. A displayed price or estimator result is not a final quote unless it is included in written confirmation from Himalera.

Any required deposit percentage is shown for the selected trek or in the written booking confirmation. The website does not establish one universal deposit percentage for every trip.

Section 03

Changes, Cancellation, and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms can vary by trip because permits, flights, accommodation, and supplier commitments differ. The applicable terms must be stated in the written quote or booking confirmation before payment is requested.

Requests to cancel or change a confirmed booking should be made in writing to operations@himaleratreks.com. We will explain any supplier charges, non-refundable items, credit, or refund applicable to that booking.

Himalera may need to change an itinerary for safety, weather, transport, government restrictions, or other circumstances outside reasonable control. Where possible, travelers will be informed of material changes and available alternatives.

Section 04

Traveler Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact, identity, health, and travel information when it is reasonably required for safety, permits, or trip operation.
  • Hold valid passports, visas, and other documents required for travel.
  • Choose a trip appropriate to personal health, experience, and fitness and seek professional medical advice where needed.
  • Follow lawful safety instructions from guides and local authorities and treat staff, communities, other travelers, and the environment respectfully.

Section 05

Travel Insurance

Himalera does not provide or sell travel insurance. Travelers are responsible for arranging their own suitable policy. Coverage should be checked against the activities and maximum altitude of the confirmed itinerary and should include medical treatment, cancellation, and emergency evacuation where appropriate.

Section 06

Adventure Travel Risk

Trekking and adventure travel involve weather, altitude, terrain, transport, illness, delay, and other risks that cannot be eliminated. Route descriptions and difficulty labels are general planning information, not guarantees of conditions or individual suitability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any trip-specific risk acknowledgement should be provided separately and reviewed before departure.

Section 07

Website Use

Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful content, or copy protected content for commercial use without permission. We may correct errors, update content, or suspend features for maintenance or security.

Section 08

Applicable Law and Questions

These terms are intended to operate under the laws applicable to Himalera in Nepal, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to a traveler. Questions about a booking should be raised with Himalera first so the issue can be reviewed against the written confirmation.

Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@himaleratreks.com.
