**The Route**

Departing from Kathmandu, the helicopter follows the Khumbu Valley past Lukla, Namche Bazaar, and Tengboche, flying over the Everest Base Camp region and the Khumbu Glacier before landing at Kala Patthar — 5,545 metres above sea level, one of the highest points reachable by helicopter near Mount Everest. Where arranged, the journey includes a stop at the Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for breakfast with Everest in view.

**Group Sharing Departure**

Seats are booked individually and combined with other travelers into a single helicopter, up to a maximum of 5 passengers per aircraft. Every seat is a window seat. This is the more accessible way to fly the route, departing on fixed daily schedules once the group is filled, and is well suited to solo travelers, couples, or small groups happy to share the aircraft with others heading to the same viewpoint.

**Private Charter**

The entire helicopter is reserved for your own group only — no other passengers, no shared departure time. You choose your preferred departure window (subject to flight-slot availability), and the pace of the Kala Patthar stop and Everest View Hotel breakfast can be adjusted to your group's preference. This is the option for families, executives, delegations, and travelers who want full control and privacy over the day.

**What You'll See**

Weather permitting: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, the Khumbu Glacier, and traditional Sherpa mountain settlements.

**Best Time to Fly**

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the clearest Himalayan visibility; winter can also be excellent, if colder. Monsoon season (June–August) is best avoided due to reduced visibility.

**A Note on Safety**

Kala Patthar is extreme altitude. The landing is intentionally brief — typically 5 to 10 minutes — and depends on real-time weather, aircraft performance, passenger weight, and crew judgment on the day, whether flying private or shared. Guests with medical concerns should consult a physician before high-altitude travel.
